About Transport National Transport National was established in 1972, serving a number of Fortune 500 companies with operations in our main terminal in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, Cincinnati, OH; Youngstown, OH; Chattanooga, TN; Springfield, MO; Fort Worth, TX; and Wausau, WI. Transport National trailers travel the 48 continental states, Canada and Mexico. Seventy-five percent of our mileage is generated in the states east of the Rocky Mountains. We strive to keep our company "driver friendly" by attempting to limit our trip durations from 5 to 14 days.  While no trip length can be guaranteed, our operations personnel work diligently to achieve and attain this very important balance between work and home. Eighty-five percent of our business requires specialized equipment, handling and/or over-dimensional permits. The products transported are valued up to multi-million dollars, therefore, all employees are throughly trained, and highly skilled professionals that allows us to complete these movements successfully and to our customers’ satisfaction. Vacation pay - One week after your first year, two weeks after your second year and an additional day per year after 6 years to equal 3 weeks after 10 years, and an additional day per year after 10 years to equal 4 weeks after 15 years.  Vacation pay is prorated on years of service.  Holiday pay - $144/day for each of these holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. 401K plan - After one year of service, you are eligible for the 401K plan with profit sharing. Flex-spending - After one year of service, you are eligible to participate in our Flex-spending plan. Health Insurance - United Healthcare Choice Plus is available for drivers and their families.   Transport National pays a portion of the premium. Dental/Vision Insurance - United Healthcare Available for drivers and their families. Transport National pays a portion of the premium. Life Insurance - Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance paid for in full by Transport National, LLC.  Additional Term Life Insurance is available for employees to purchase. Short Term Disability - Available at employees cost.   Equipment Current Tractor Specifications: Late model mid-roof conventional fleet utilizing Qualcomm, Best Pass & Pike Pass. Transport National Drivers operate a fleet of 57 assigned Kenworth and Freightliner tractors pulling a specialized fleet of 225 air ride trailers consisting of flatbed, step-deck, double drop, expandables, detachables, heavy haul, and curtain side units. Tractor base specifications include Cummins/Cat and Mercedes Engines with Eaton auto shift transmissions.
