The Yard Coordinator
Yard Coordinator – Local – Full-time
The Yard Coordinator, under the direction of the Shop Manager, is responsible for load securement to include some of the duties listed below at our Oak Creek location. An ideal candidate will have an interest in heavy haul trucking, is at least 18 years of age, has a valid Driver’s License, a clean criminal background check and motor vehicle record. This position works closely with the Shop and Operations Departments, as well as external customers and carrier so strong communication skills are a must!
A Class A CDL is not required but preferred. Student Drivers or recent CDL grads are welcome to apply.

Some Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive tractors in yard as required; training provided.
- Transferring freight with forklift; training provided for certification.
- Shuttle the mechanics to dealerships as needed. Measure dimensions of freight or equipment for load consolidation and Load X.
- Verify load transfer through shipping and receiving paperwork.
- Track load securement equipment.
- Reposition trailers in yard as needed.
- Take pictures of freight on shipments for outside carriers. Switch freight for the outside carriers, check bills of lading and communicate with Transport Logistics as needed.
- Miscellaneous duties assigned by the Shop Administrator and/or Shop Manager.
- Requests from other departments will go through Shop Management.
